There is a system for sorting household waste. You place the waste into the corresponding category and then it gets crushed, vacuum-sealed and labelled for pick-up.

The kitchen also takes care of the water we use. There are two sinks - the first one is for "black" water that goes down the sewage pipes and the second is for "grey" water that can be used for watering plants and washing machines.
